ADO Facade Drainage
High-quality materials, professional finish and perfectly fitting design
ensure trouble-free use and long life of the design oriented ADO drainage
channels.
 |
Applications
Drainage channels are indispensable in the sealing and joint areas
of facades, balconies, roof areas and patios to drain surface water
and to prevent damage to buildings caused by standing water and by
water pressing against the structure. In addition drainage channels
act as a reservoir for sudden downpours.

Design Features
High-quality building projects in particular have specific requirements
concerning the aesthetic integration, and matching, of constructional
elements. ADO drainage channels are for exterior use. Our extensive
range of roll and comb gratings to cover the drainage channels allows
harmonic and flexible design and hence a homogenous grating design
for the interior as well as the exterior. The narrow, elegantly shaped
side edge of the drainage channel ensures a visually pleasing sealing
area in glass facades.
Bevel cuts on channels and gratings result in elegant corner designs.
Colour coordination with window profiles is also possible.
A multitude of design and variation options make ADO facade drainage
channels ideally suited to private clients. As with our other product
ranges, ADO drainage channels are the right choice for architects and
clients to whom homogenous integration into the surrounding structures
and landscapes is of particular concern when designing balconies and
patios.

Flexible and easy installation
Solutions (bevels, curvatures, outlets, etc.) are tailor-made and take
the constructional conditions of each project into account.
The channels, which are height adjustable between 90 and 120 mm,
facilitate easy and fast installation, however channels with fixed
heights are also available.
The standard width is 150 mm and the length is 1500 mm. Special designs
are available on request. The channels are made of aluminium or stainless
steel.
Due to their smooth, closed underface, the channels are easy to clean
and they come equipped with integrated theft protection.

Flat roof specifications
The use of drainage channels has an additional, secondary, effect for
door and wall connections, which increases comfort levels. In accordance
with flat roof specifications (DIN 18 195) water-proofing must exceed
the top edge of the facing by more than 15 cm. If the door/wall connections
are too low this is deemed to be a defect in design/workmanship as
this may cause problems with moisture.
However, this rule does not apply if "
there are drainage
options in the immediate vicinity of the door". If drainage gratings
are used the required connection height can be reduced to 5 cm. This
provides both security and higher comfort levels.
